A boy made of fire and a girl made of water may appear incompatible at first, but these two elemental figures set aside their differences and aid each other by reaching areas the other cannot. This is when you, as the player, step in and assume control of both characters. These elemental characters, like the others in the series, have weaknesses and resistances. Fireboy is also known as Lavaboy since he can walk across lava pools without being burned. But his blazing flames will be quenched if he comes into touch with water, which is where his mate Watergirl comes in. Watergirl, like Fireboy, is immune to her element but cannot walk over fire or lava without evaporating. If you kill one of the characters, you will forfeit the level. You must carefully manipulate these two characters to clear the route in each level by reaching the levers, buttons, and other objects. You will visit many different temples in Fireboy and Watergirl 5: Elements, from the woodland temple to the light temple. Each of these temples has its own set of mechanics, so be mindful of your surroundings and assist the elemental couple in reaching safety! If you don't want to play alone, you may bring a friend or family member along for the ride!
